Dr. Gregory Mavrides is an itinerant professor in psychology and sociology currently working in the Middle East at ALHOSN University, where he is the chairman of the Social Sciences Department and the director of Student Counseling and Career Services. Prof. Mavrides lived and worked in mainland China from 2003 through 2010 and is the principal author of the highly-acclaimed Foreign Teachers Guide to Living and Working in China.


Ken Hayes, M.Ed. is a former U.S. Army officer and professional educator who runs a successful private English language school in Jilin Province. Ken is a cofounder of Middle Kingdom Life and a frequent content contributor and consultant

These forums were created to allow readers to ask direct questions of Middle Kingdom Life cofounders Gregory Mavrides, PhD and Kenneth Hayes, M.Ed.
